The Danish pension company Velliv has appointed Jacob Carlsen as its new chief financial officer and a member of its executive board. He is set to take up the role in the coming months.
Carlsen joins from PFA, where he led the actuarial and accounting department and has held senior positions since 2002. His experience spans the financial and actuarial side of the pension industry.
He succeeds Gitte Aggerholm, whose departure was tied to the appointment. The change brings new leadership to a central role at one of the country’s pension providers.
Chief executive Kim Kehlet Johansen linked the move to the company entering a new strategic period with ambitious goals for its customer community. The appointment is part of preparing the organisation for that next phase.
Velliv manages retirement savings for a large base of Danish customers, making its finance leadership a closely watched role. The new chief financial officer will help steer the company’s plans in a competitive market.
