Lazard Expands in the Nordics With a New Denmark CEO

The financial advisory firm Lazard has appointed Jesper Jensen as managing director and chief executive of its investment banking operations in Denmark. The move is part of the firm’s expansion across the Nordic region.

Jensen brings more than 25 years of experience and established connections in the Danish market. His hire is intended to strengthen Lazard’s client relationships in the country.

He previously worked at Rothschild & Co and JP Morgan in London, and holds a degree in finance and accounting from Copenhagen Business School. That background pairs international experience with local knowledge.

Jensen will work alongside Lazard’s existing Nordic leadership as the firm builds out its presence in the region. The Nordic market has drawn growing interest from advisory firms chasing deal activity.

The appointment signals Lazard’s intent to compete more directly for advisory work in Denmark. Establishing a local office gives the firm a base to pursue transactions in the market.
